Leandros Koutakos

I am a self motivated individual who enjoys a good challenge, tackling tasks logically and efficiently. I work effectively as part of a team, however I am also confident in carrying out tasks independently.

I have gained experience in a variety of sectors including; healthcare, infrastructure, commercial and residential, working mainly from stage 3 to stage 5, but also have some experience in earlier design stages. I enjoy resolving technical details and producing drawing packages to a high standard. I am also passionate in implementing the BIM process and specialise in authoring and educating in Autodesk Revit.

There are many efficiencies to be gained through working in a BIM environment and I aim to explore these efficiencies on a project specific basis as well as developing consistent workflows, tailored to company wide BIM standards. Most recently, my experiences have been in developing parametric facades, with the aid of visual programming; providing one to one and group tutoring on general modelling workflows, techniques and the BIM process; carrying out multi- disciplinary clash detection, visual coordination and leading coordination meetings with design teams. I believe a deep understanding of construction is essential when developing BIM models and feel collaborating closely with the design team in the development of technical details and drawing packages is essential.
